Indications of Delanix Capsule
Delanix 60 is a medication that lessens the quantity of acid your stomach produces. It is used to treat diseases of the stomach and intestine caused by excessive acid production, including heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and some other conditions of the stomach. Delanix 60 is also used to stop the acidity and stomach ulcers that may result from using painkillers for an extended period of time. It is a member of the proton pump inhibitors class of drugs (PPIs).
Pharmacology of Delanix Capsule
A proton pump inhibitor (PPI), such as the sustained-release capsule of dexlansoprazole, prevents the secretion of gastric acid by specifically inhibiting (H + / K +) ATPase in gastric parietal cells. Dexlansoprazole stops the final stage of acid production by only affecting the proton pump. It is lansoprazole's enantiomer (a racemic mixture of R and the enantiomer). In an oral capsule, dexlansoprazole is offered in a dual delayed release (DDR) formulation. Two different enteric-coated granule types with various pH-dependent dissolution profiles are mixed together in the capsule. Dexlansoprazole's dual delayed-release formulation has two distinct peak plasma concentration-time profiles, with the first peak occurring 1 to 2 hours after administration and the second peak occurring 4 to 5 hours later. Dexlansoprazole's mean Cmax and AUC values after oral administration rise roughly in proportion to the dose. The liver extensively metabolizes dexlansoprazole, which is then excreted in the urine.
